The National Senior Certificate School performance report can be one of the most useful tools for households and learners searching for quality education.
The report features critical data and school performance indicators. These include a list of schools that achieved 100% pass rate over the past five years. It also features a list of schools that performed below 40% pass rate over a five year period.
In the 2016 results, there are 38 schools, spread across the country that performed below 40% pass rate over a five year period. 14 of these schools are located in the Eastern Cape, 11 in KwaZulu-Natal and 13 in Limpopo.
There are 111 schools that achieved 100% pass rate. The Gauteng Province has the lion’s share of these 100% pass rate schools with 32 names. It is followed by the Western Cape with 31, KwaZulu-Natal 19, Free State 12, Eastern Cape 7, Mpumalanga and North West with 3 each, and Limpopo and Northern Cape with 2 each.
These 100% pass rate public schools include well-known names like Rondebosch Boys and Herschel Girls in the Western Cape, Inkamana and Ukhahlamba in KZN, Springs Muslim High and Tshwane Christian School in Gauteng, Queenstown Girls High and Victoria Girls High in the Eastern Cape.
